A police officer has been bitten by a canine in Mosgiel whereas responding to a household hurt incident.

A police spokeswoman mentioned officers have been known as to a household hurt incident in Hagart-Alexander Drive about 10.30am.

The canine chunk was reported about 11.05am, the spokeswoman mentioned.

It didn’t seem the chunk was critical, however the officer was going to get the damage checked out, the spokeswoman mentioned.
