The cousin of one of many victims of the Christmas Eve bus crash in British Columbia says the brand new arrival from Punjab, India, leaves behind a spouse and two younger kids.
Kalwinder Singh says 41-year-old Karanjot Singh Sodhi was the daddy of a six-year-old son and two-year-old daughter in India.
He says Sodhi got here to Canada about three months in the past and was a long-haul trucker who was taking the bus to fulfill up with household for the vacations.
Police suspect icy roads have been the reason for the bus crash that left 4 individuals useless and dozens of others injured east of Merritt close to the Loon Lake exit.
Officers haven’t launched the names of those that died.
Singh, who can also be a long-haul truck driver, says the stretch close to the positioning of the crash alongside the Okanagan Connector is treacherous and one of many worst he is skilled in North America.
